The author has expanded it over time, making adjustments, rejecting certain portions, and adding new content. Throughout this process, the author has concentrated on the book's primary ideas. The author begins by stating that since the 1960s, there has been a considerable increase in the number of persons in the West, particularly those of African heritage in the United Kingdom and the United States, who have converted to Islam. Simultaneously, there has been an increase in Afrocentric thinking in the West. According to Afrocentric thinkers, Islam was founded by Arab invaders who exploited Africa to the disadvantage of African people. They have formed as a counter-movement against the increasing number of African Americans adopting Islam.' Defining Legends' seeks to evaluate mainstream black Orientalism and radical Afrocentric assertions about Islam seriously. It provides new evidence to refute these myths. The book examines and dismisses documentary evidence that is frequently found in Afrocentric literature regarding Islam. The research mostly criticizes anti-Islamic notions found in some Afrocentric interpretations of Islam. Instead, it employs more dependable criteria to expose the flaws in their reasoning.' Defining Legends' also demonstrates that much of Afrocentric thinking about Islam has European Christian, Freemason, and Zionist roots. AbdulHaq, the author, has lived and traveled extensively throughout Africa and the Middle East. He was one of the key creators of the ICO Islamic Studies Curriculum initiative in Riyadh in 2004, which is a vital resource for Islamic education. He has also authored and translated several works into English."

A Critique Of The Ruling Of al-Taqlid By Muhammad ibn Ali al-Shawkani ISBN: 9781916475649 Author: Muhammad ibn Ali al-Shawkani Book BInding: Hardcover Pages: 232 Size: 8.5 x 6.0 x 0.7 inch Publication Year: 2020 Description About This Book: In the 18th century, eminent Islamic scholar and jurist Muhammad ibn Ali al-Shawkani wrote "A Critique of the Ruling of al-Taqlid." He provides a critical analysis of Taqlid's practice in Islamic jurisprudence in this work. Taqlid, the practice of adhering to religious judgments purely based on the views of well-known scholars without personally examining the evidence provided by the Quran and Hadith, which serve as the main sources of Islamic law, is defined as failing to do so. A large number of Muslims who follow this custom do so because they have faith in the knowledge and reliability of recognized scholars. Abu Dāwūd stated that Aḥmad said to him, “Do not make taqlīd of me, nor Mālik, al-Shāfiʿī, al-Awzāʿī or al-Thawrī; rather take from where they took.” [Masāʾil al-Imām Aḥmad (pp.276-277). Nawāb Ṣiddīq Ḥasan Khan relays, “He was the judge of the congregation, the shaykh of al-Islam, the muhaqqiq, the ʿallāmah, the imām, the sulṭān of the ʿulamā, the imām of the world, the seal of the ḥuffāẓ (i.e. major ḥadīth scholars) without dispute, the proof for debaters, the supreme in isnād and the foremost within the domain of al-ijtihād He did not see one similar to himself, and those who saw him did not see his likeness in knowledge and piety, and in standing for the truth with strength of character and preciseness of tongue He gained proficiency within all the rational and textual sciences. This was to the point that he reached the apex of human understanding, his power of examination was acceded to by both friend and foe, his excellence in the sciences of ijtihād was acknowledged, and [he became] the one to clarify the matters of subtlety within the religion. […] From his works is Nayl al-Awṭār Sharḥ Muntaqā al-Akhbār of Ibn Taymiyyah, in four volumes. The eye of time has not been adorned with its likeness in examination, nor has the entirety of time granted its similitude in attention to the smallest of detail.” [Summarised extracts from his biography in al-Tāj al-Mukallal (443-449)] The author states:  “One of the researching scholars amongst the people of knowledge requested me to compile a treatise for him that would contain affirmation of the truth regarding al-taqlīd, as to whether it is permissible or not, in a manner that no doubt would be left after it nor objection to it would be accepted. Since the questioner is one of the eminent scholars, the response will be in the manner of ilm al-munāẓarah (the science of dialectics).”

A Hanbali Epitome: The Student's Guide For Accomplishing The Pursued Objectives Pertaining to Worship By Mar'i Yusuf al-Karmi al-Hanbali ISBN: 9781916475663 Author: Mari Yusuf al-Karmi al-Hanbali Book Binding: Paperback Pages 376 Size: 9.7 x6.5 x 1.3 inch Publication year: 2020 Language: Arabic Description About This Book: Mar'i Yusuf al-Karmi al-Hanbali's "A Hanbali Epitome: The Student's Guide For Accomplishing The Pursued Objectives Pertaining to Worship" is a thorough guidebook that offers significant insights and practical instructions connected to worship within the Hanbali school of thought. The book contains a wide range of religious acts, such as prayers, fasting, charity, pilgrimage, and other Hanbali-recommended rituals. Its goal is to be a useful resource for Islamic jurisprudence students and knowledge seekers who want to expand their understanding and practice of Hanbali worship. This book is a translation of Mar'i b. Yusuf al-Karmi’s (d. 1033/1623) classical Ḥanbali law manual, Dalīl al-Ṭālib. In 1961 George M. Baroody translated the section of criminal law as part of a Masters’ thesis. The present work focuses on the sections of worship (ʿibādāt).  It clearly presents the rules and regulations the Muslim community requires for purification, prayer, charity, fasting, pilgrimage, and warfare. A lengthy introduction to Islamic law and the Ḥanbalī school has been included to prepare the readers. The language employed in the translation has been kept simple, straightforward, and modern to make the work accessible to everyone who speaks English – law student or otherwise.  This bilingual edition, with its parallel Arabic text, will allow readers to access the original Arabic and hopefully help with vocabulary building, oracy, and future translations. Muslims for many centuries have turned to Dalīl al-Ṭālib for study, and ultimately to be informed of their religious practices.  It is hoped the translation, The Student’s Guide, will produce a similar response and convey the spirit and manner of the original owing to its style and simplicity.

Shaykh Bakr Abu Zayd said in al-Madkhal al-Mufassal, Zād al-Mustaqnī’ fī Ikhtisār al-Muqni’ is the text that came to be considered as the main source for the study of the Hanbalī madhab (school of jurisprudence) and quintessential for the students in the land of the Hanābilah (i.e. the Arabian Peninsula); particularly in the region of Najd. The people busied themselves reading, memorising and writing commentaries upon this book. This was carried out in study circles in the masājid where the scholars imparted knowledge to others and also in formal learning institutions. This book was studied in-depth so much so that some scholars provided explanations just upon the phrases within it so as to make it easy for the new learner. This was expanded to include proofs and evidences for those in the intermediate level. In the levels thereafter, proofs and evidences were fused with the disputes that exist within the madhab and in comparison to the other madhabs. Some scholars said: The texts of Zād and Bulūgh, Suffice for one to attain genius. They indicated through this [the importance of] Zād al-Mustaqni’ with regards to the study of fiqh and Bulūgh al-Marām with regards to the study of hadīth.No book as exemplary has been authored since it that contains as many important points (muhimāt) and issues (masā’il) as Zād. In fact, Zād excelled in terms of quantity and content. It is said that there are approximately three thousand important points and issues mentioned and similarly another three thousand inferred from the text. Meaning that it possesses within it around six thousand issues. This is what we heard from some of the noble scholars of the madhab in our time. While [in the current time] the students of knowledge transmit from some of the contemporary scholars that the number of issues in Zād goes beyond thirty thousand. Thus one should not avoid it.

The apparent and hidden, the body and soul, are cured with them. With this great bounty, a person is not in need of anything other than it with the condition that one fully comprehends and submits with full faith, Allah savs in the Our’an: “This day have I perfected your religion for you.” [Q 5:3] Some people do not value the religion and think it is incomplete, that is why they go down other paths and chase other “-isms” while some people take the Quran and Ahädith only for a spiritual cure related to the success of the hereafter, not a physical cure bringing happiness in this life as well as the next. Some people depend solely upon doctors for physical diseases and illnesses, while thinking the adhkär which have been shown in the Quran and Ahadith are of no benefit in regards to physical discases and illnesses. Yet the truth is that these adhkär and supplications have greater elect than western medicine, hence why the duG’ is the weapon for a believer, as has been reported in the Hadith collected in al-Mustadrak The Prophet emphasized on dun and adhkar. He prescribed specific adhkar for specific occasions, hence every Muslim should strive to memorize these due to their importance. This will allow one to achieve happiness in this life and the next. I am writing this booklet (Risalah) about two essential issues (cure for the evil eye and curing magic) at the advice of Al-Haj Prächa because people are in great need of knowing these issues.

The Necessity of Hadith And The Disconnect Between The Quran-Only Approach And The Qur'anic Text ISBN:9781838489748 Author: Farid Al-Bahraini Binding: Paperback Pages:111 Size: 8.3 x 5.8 x 0.3 inch Publication Year:2021 Language: English/Arabic Description: About This Book: Imagine a religion where its adherents openly reject every saying, action, and event surrounding their prophet. It is a Qurʾanist’s reality. What exactly would lead to this stance, this skepticism, towards ḥadith? What would cause a Muslim to reject the teachings of the prophet he adores?! Everything about Islam is questionable without hadiths. What exactly do we know about the Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him) without hadiths? Never mind his biography, we can’t even ascertain his identity. The Qurʾān only identifies him as Muḥammad (Q. 3:144). Couldn’t this be referring to Muḥammad bin Maslama (d. 43 AH) instead of Muḥammad bin Abdillah (d. 11 AH)? Necessity of Hadith & Disconnect Between The Quran is directed to Hadīth-Rejecters (Quranists, Quranism), Muslims in general that are on the fence, and conservative Muslims that seek to reaffirm their stance regarding the Authority of Hadiths.
