"The Virtue of Siyam & Qiyam During the Month of Ramadan" is a theme that emphasizes the unique significance of Muslims fasting (siyam) and standing in night prayers (qiyam) during the holy month of Ramadan.
Muslims throughout the world fast from dawn to sunset during Ramadan as an act of devotion and obedience to Allah (God). Fasting throughout this month is one of Islam's Five Pillars and has enormous spiritual and moral importance. It entails abstaining from food, drink, and other bodily requirements during the day, but simultaneously focusing on heightened worship, self-reflection, and charitable activities. Qiyam prayers, also known as Taraweeh prayers, are done at night throughout Ramadan. These additional prayers are given after the mandatory Isha prayer and include recitations from the Quran. Qiyam allows Muslims to perform additional acts of worship, beg forgiveness, and strengthen their relationship with Allah.
During Ramadan, the combination of siyam (fasting) and qiyas (night prayers) is heavily stressed in Islamic beliefs. During this beautiful month, Muslims believe that the benefits of acts of prayer, generosity, and spiritual devotion are increased. During the month of Ramadan, the virtue of Siyam and Qiyam represents the spiritual advantages and blessings that come with these acts of devotion.

Human Rights in Islam By Jamal Zarabazo

Book Binding: Paperback
Pages 305
Size: 11.5 x 8.0 x 0.7 inch

Description
About This Book:
Many scholars are quick to point out that human rights has become a, if not the, dominant theme of the world today. For example, Ann Kent writes in Between Freedom and Subsistence: China and Human Rights, “The problem of human rights lies at the heart of modern political discourse,”Some argue that even those countries which are not completely enamored by the human rights concepts go out of their way to demonstrate that their actions do not violate human rights. Indeed, who could possibly be against a concept entitled human rights.”?
With respect to Islam in particular, Khalid Abou El Fadhl wrote; “Of all the moral challenges confronting Islam in the modern age, the problem of human rights is the most formidable.”Undoubtedly, Muslim countries, organizations, scholars and individuals feel the necessity of explaining exactly where they stand on the question of human rights. Actually, the situation has gone even beyond that to one of apparent acceptance of the concept as a whole. When many Muslims speak about political issues, such as the Middle East conflict, they speak about it in terms of human rights. In fact, many times in intra-Muslim political debates centering about rights, it is the human rights paradigm that often resonates with the audience regardless of who that audience may be.,
In this authors view, a number of important questions have gone relatively unanswered. These questions include: Is the human rights doctrine deserving of the amount of respect and admiration that it has received? What, in detail, should be a Muslim’s attitude toward the concept of human rights and the contemporary human rights paradigm in particular? Just as importantly, what is the human rights doctrine’s attitude toward Islam? For example, does a Muslim truly have the right to practice his religion within the framework of contemporary human rights thought?

This book is a journey that urges believers to embrace the sincerity, humility, and dedication demonstrated by the Prophet Muhammad in his prayers. This is the description of the prophet’s prayer by my father and Shaykh Muqbil ibn Hadi Al-Wadi’i, May Allah have mercy upon him, which he taught to the students in Dar Al-Hadith in Dammaj, may Allah return its honor and blessing, in statement and action. I have taken care, with the help of Allah, and added concise comments, I hope, from my Lord, that He brings about benefit by them as well as the original book.
My Work within the Book is as Follows:
One: I gave concern to the transmissions, and for Allah is the praise; in order that they be far removed from error. We ask our Lord to grant us correctness and to set right our efforts.
Two: I separated the issues by chapter headings in order to differentiate between them.
Three: I arranged some of the topics surrounding the prayer of the prophet ﷺ; that which was previously separated but should have been together under one subject; and I placed it in its appropriate place in order that the sequence of the prayer may be consistent.
Four: I added—within the footnotes—some of the Fiqh positions of our father which we extrapolated from his other lessons, in that which is connected to the topic of the treatise in order to complete the benefit, if Allah wills.

Al-Quran Al-Kareem Maqdis is a translation learning method of word-by-word Al-Quran with every word and sentence is colored differently, in Arabic and English. Every word in the Quran was translated literally so that the reader could understand the meaning of every single word. It needs to be remembered that not all literal translation represents the exact meaning of the word since the Quran uses varied Arabic language style and sometimes metaphor. Accordingly, to understand the full or intended meaning of the word or the verse, Muhsin Khan's the Holy Quran Translation had been included in this edition. However, to comprehend more of the meaning of the Quran, reading the commentary of the Quran from trusted scholars would be necessary. About This Book:
Since many of the masses are unfamiliar with Islam beyond what they see in the mass media —which of course recently has been filled with a terrorist taint— it is not surprising that such misrepresentations of Islam resonate with the public as a whole. The easiest and probably the most productive cure for this situation is by reaching out to those people and allowing them to hear what Islam is truly all about. One must go beyond the hype and get to the true authentic teachings of the religion. Unfortunately, it is also a sad state of affairs that today one must also go beyond the picture that the Muslims themselves give non-Muslims of Islam. Although, in general, Christianity or Judaism is not blamed for the misdeeds of Christians or Jews, today Islam is still often blamed for the misdeeds of Muslims, even when the practices of such Muslims clearly violate the tenets of Islam.
Unfortunately, today the negative views and misrepresent- actions of Islam are not simply an issue of one's personal religious beliefs. The ramifications have gone far beyond that and touch upon the security and politics of the world as a whole. Most harmful though is that as Islam is misunderstood and continually painted as the “other” and a source of evil, many are closed off to its beauty and its priceless truths that it has to offer to humankind. In reality, in these troubled times, there is a great need to turn to the guidance from God, which is exactly what Islam is all about.
About The Author:
