The well-known book "Jami al-Bayan a Tawil al-Quran" belongs to the category of Islamic interpretation (tafsir). About The Author:
Ibn Kathir, also known by his full name Ismail ibn Kathir ibn Dawud al-Dimashqi, was a well-known Islamic historian and scholar who lived from 1300 to 1373 CE. His comprehensive writings on tafsir (Quranic exegesis) and history are what have made him most famous. He was born in Busra, which is today in the country of Syria.
