The importance of justice in assessing a government's legitimacy is highlighted throughout the book. A government must prioritize and uphold justice, fairness, equity, impartiality, and correctness in order to be regarded as legitimate. The movement of wealth is crucial and protected by the shari'a (Islamic law), as government essentially entails the management of resources, including their production, distribution, and consumption. In fact, the idea of promoting the flow of money serves as justification for the very existence of governance. This book describes the Madinan model for correct governance establieshed by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Islamic governance is nomocratic (law-based), that is based on Quranic law as understood and practise by the Prophet and his Companions. Islamic law actively encourages fair wealth distribution and forbids its stagnation. It acknowledges that oligarchy results from the concentration of wealth in the hands of a select few, a problem that both capitalism and communism have tried to solve. Islamic administration aims to promote a fair and balanced economic system that is advantageous to society as a whole by emphasizing the flow of wealth.
