Shaykh Abdurraḥman ibn Nasir As-Sadi Said: I have written a lengthy book on Tafsir, the commentary of Qur'an. However, some readers may find it challenging to finish, and publishers may hesitate to publish it. Therefore, some knowledgeable individuals have advised me to create a shorter version.
They suggested summarizing the lengthy exegesis by including only certain verses representing the topics and objectives of the Glorious Qur'an. I have followed their good advice and put my trust in Allah. There are several reasons, one of which is that readers will find it easier to read.
The Qur'an is a unique book that requires a specific arrangement and classification. It is the epitome of eloquence, mastery, and elevated style. Its influence on those who recite it is a testament to the truth that it is the word and revelation ofAllah, the All- Wise, the Praiseworthy One.
Each verse covers the objectives of Sharicah, including their means, proofs, truths, gende encouragement, and severe admonition. One verse may cover fundamental pillars, secondary rulings, religious knowledge, worldly knowledge, multiple purposes, and valuable ends. The Qur'an repeats meanings to help servants understand and abide by Islam in their words and deeds, guiding them along the Straight Path.,"
