Islamic Awakening Between Rejection and Extremism By Yusuf Al-Qaradawi

Author: Yusuf Al-Qaradawi
Book Binding: Softcover
Pages: 191
Size: 9.0 x 6.0 x 0.5
Publication Year: 1991
About This Book:
Yusuf Al-Qaradawi's work "Islamic Awakening Between Rejection and Extremism" is thought-provoking. This book investigates the idea of Islamic awakening and looks at how it manifests itself between the two extremes of fanaticism and rejection. A renewal of Islamic identity, values, and philosophy among Muslims is referred to as an "Islamic awakening," frequently in response to social, political, or cultural difficulties. A well-known Islamic scholar named Yusuf Al-Qaradawi probably provides a thorough explanation of this phenomenon, looking at its historical context, underlying causes, and effects on modern Muslim countries.
The book might examine the various ways that the Islamic awakening has manifested itself, from moderate, beneficial movements seeking reform to radical, extremist interpretations that distort Islam's fundamental nature. Al-Qaradawi is anticipated to discuss the need to strike a balance between upholding true Islamic principles and changing with the times while avoiding extremism or rejection.
In "Islamic Awakening Between Rejection and Extremism," Al-Qaradawi may provide tips for Muslims on how to embrace the principles of their faith in a way that fosters societal progress, peaceful cohabitation, and constructive contributions to society. He probably supports a knowledge-based, wise, and compassionate Islamic awakening that encourages Muslims to actively engage in their societies while upholding the values of moderation and tolerance. In this thoughtful and important book, Shaykh Yusuf al-Qaradawi examines the worldwide revival of interest in Islam and attempts to explain why this interest has led so many among the younger generation of Muslims to tread the path of intolerance and rigid interpretation.
An older and more experienced voice, he articulates the wisdom brought on by maturity, sound scholarship, and a deep understanding of both the letter and the spirit of the Quran and the Sunnah. Looking for answers in a world marked by enormous volatility, pressure and political and economic corruption, Muslim youth are an easy target for extremist movements. Shaykh Qaradawi traces the complex roots of these views, and examines in-depth the many uses of the path to intolerance, offering a variety of remedies and cures. Perhaps more relevant today, given our troubled climate, than at any time in the past, the work introduces readers to a subject of great significance and wide ramifications.

The Explanation Of The Book Of Knowledge From Sahih al-Bukhari by Shaykh Zayd al-Madkhali
ISBN: 9781532369339
Author: Shaykh Zayd al-Madkhali
Book Binding: Paperback
Pages: 401
Size: 8.3 x 5.7 x 1.1 inch
Publication Year: 2018
About This Book:
It is impossible to overestimate the importance of legislative knowledge because it is the basis for eradicating ignorance. In actuality, the need for legislative knowledge outweighs even the most fundamental needs for living, such as food and water, which are necessary for our physical survival. Many individuals may not fully understand the relevance of this knowledge, but experts have worked hard to emphasize it in order to enlighten and direct people. Learning how to worship Allah becomes crucial for individuals who lack knowledge. They can build a deeper relationship with the Creator and experience a more fruitful spiritual journey when they know how to worship the Creator appropriately.
On the other hand, those who are endowed with knowledge should always work to improve it. More information enables individuals to take on leadership roles in their communities, influencing and motivating others to follow the path of righteousness. In the same way that the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) did while he was alive, they can emerge as lights of knowledge and act as tangible examples of the beauty and profundity of Islam. Legislative knowledge is a treasure that eliminates ignorance and provides humanity with illumination and direction. Whether one is informed about worship or just wants to learn more about it, gaining knowledge should always be a lifelong process that benefits both the individual and society as a whole.
Nothing removes ignorance except legislative knowledge, and the need of the people for legislative knowledge is greater than their need for food and drink. It is greater than their need for air, which none can do without. However, most of the people do not know this need, which the scholars have specifically clarified for the people. The ignorant person is in need of learning how to worship Allah. He whom Allah has given something from knowledge is in dire need of increasing it so he can be a leader for the people and so he can be a proof, just as the Messenger of Allah was a proof.

About This Book:
The informative book "Christ Jesus, the Son of Mary: A Muslim Perspective" by Adil Nizamuddin Imran presents a Muslim perspective on the person and teachings of Jesus Christ. The author studies Jesus-related scriptures from the Quran and hadiths in great detail, illuminating his significance in Islamic tradition. The book also explores historical proof of Jesus' existence and makes analogies between his teachings and those of the Quran.
The book, which is divided into three sections, discusses important facets of how Muslims portray Jesus:
The Quranic Jesus, Part 1
The author explores Quranic texts that mention Jesus in this part. He underlines that Jesus is venerated in the Quran as a prophet, a divine messenger, and a performer of miracles. The Quran does not endorse the premise that Jesus is the literal Son of God, in contrast to Christian theology.
The Historical Jesus in Part 2
The second section looks at the historical data pertaining to Jesus's life and teachings. The author asserts that there is strong historical evidence for Jesus's existence and that his teachings are consistent with those of the Quran.
The Historical Jesus in Part 3
The Muslim Jesus The author clarifies the Muslim viewpoint on Jesus by presenting him as an exceptional prophet rather than the Son of God. Islam holds that Jesus will come back to Earth in the future to defeat the Antichrist and establish the kingdom of God. Christ Jesus The Son of Mary: A Muslim Perspective is a very well-researched and insightful book by Adil Nizamuddin Imran. About This Book:
Allah says: “See you not how Allah sets forth a parable? - A goodly word as a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches (reach) to the sky (i.e. Very high). Giving its fruit at all times, by the Leave of its Lord and Allah sets forth parables for mankind in order that they may remember.” [Soorah Ibrahim 14:24-25]This is a remarkable parable with an enormous benefit and applies perfectly to that which it is being compared with. Allah begins the verse by saying,“See you not how Allah sets forth a parable?” [Soorah Ibrahim 14:24]Meaning, does not your heart see and comprehend how Allah makes an example and a comparison for the "goodly word", the word of Eemaan.
Allah finishes the verse with: “Allah sets forth parables for mankind in order that they may remember.” [Soorah Ibrahim 14:25]Meaning: that the intention behind this parable and others, are to remind the people and invite them to consider and understand the speech of Allah. There can be no doubt that this beginning and end to the verse are the best of encouragements for a person to learn and understand this parable. They also show the enormous importance of this parable and how it includes Eemaan, which is the best thing for a person to seek and the greatest goal. When we consider this splendid parable we find that Allah mentions the thing that is being compared, the thing it is being compared to and the similarity between them.
The thing that is being compared is "the good word", the thing it is being compared to is “the tree”, and the similarity between them is like Allah says:“Whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches (reach) to the sky (i.e. Very high); giving its fruit at all times, by the Leave of its Lord.” [Soorah Ibrahim 14:24]Allah, The Blessed, The Most High, compares the Eemaan that is firm in the heart of the believer and that which results from that Eemaan in the way of branches, divisions and fruit, with the "goodly tree” whose roots are firm, its branches outstretched into the sky, and always produces fruit. So if, one was to consider the thing being compared to, which is the tree, and the thing being compared, which is the proclamation of Eemaan that is in the heart of the believer and that which results from it, then they will find that they share many similar characteristics, some of which are mentioned in the verse.
Ibn Al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy upon him) said:“If you were to consider this resemblance you would see that it applies to the tree of Tawheed that is firmly rooted in the heart; its branches are the righteous actions which reach high into the sky and this tree never stops producing good deeds. The amount of righteous actions is dependent upon the extent that Tawheed is embedded in the heart, the extent of the love the heart has for Tawheed, the extent of sincerity one has for Tawheed, the extent of knowledge one has of Tawheed, the extent one applies Tawheed, the extent one performs its rights, and the extent that one takes care of it.
Whoever firmly roots the proclamation of Eemaan in their heart and characterizes their heart by it and anoints it with the religion of Allah, of which there is no better religion, and then he knows the reality of divinity, which his heart affirms for Allah alone and he bears witness to that with his tongue and confirms that with his limbs. He negates this divinity and that which it necessitates, for everything other than for Allah; and his heart agrees with the tongue in this negation and affirmation and his limbs submit to that which he testifies to with Tawheed, obediently walking the path of his Lord with humility, without deviation and without desiring another to replace it.There's no doubt that this proclamation in the heart and on the tongue continually produces good deeds that raise up to Allah all the time.

About This Book:
Among the [many narrations which make up the] Sunnah, there are certain hadith to which the scholars have devoted special attention and care, collecting them, writing about them, explaining them and giving commentary on them. These hadith are examples of the eloquence and density of meaning, characteristic of Allah’s communication to mankind. In just a few sentences there is so much meaning that, if it were to be thoroughly explained along with all the meaning that cascades from these few words, their eloquence, power, brevity and clarity, all pens would dry up before this could be completed. This is one of the unique characteristics of the nation of Muhammad. In these brief texts are found massive amounts of knowledge and benefit.
(1) Allah said:
{And, whoever is given wisdom has been given an immense good.}
Qur’an: Al-Baqarah: 269. So, whoever is given wisdom and [understanding of] the Qur’an has been given what was never given to any other, even to one who collected all knowledge from the entire history of mankind from every other. [human] source such as manuscripts, scrolls and the like.
(2) Allah said:
{And you have not been given knowledge except a little.}
Al-Qur’an: Al-Israa’: 85. A small number of words from the Sunnah of Muhammad contains a huge amount of knowledge.
Recognizing Jamaat-e-Islaami (Translation of the Urdu book Jamaate islaami ko Pehchaniye) By Hakim Ajmal Khan Jr
Author: Hakim Ajmal Khan Jr
Book Binding:Paperback
Pages:338
Size: 11.5 x 8.3 x 0.8 inch
Publication Year: 2020
About This Book:
The book is the English translation of the original book in Urdu language “Jamaat-e-Islami ko Pehchaniye” compiled by Hakim Ajmal Khan Junior which was published after the growing menace of the organization. JI was formed by a radical Islamist socio-political philosopher Abul Ala Maududi in 1941 during British rule in India, after the terror-outfit Muslim Brotherhood popularly known as “Ikhwanul-Muslimeen” was formed in Egypt in 1928.The translator of the book Ejaz Ahmed Khan, who currently resides in Jubail Industrial city of Eastern province of Saudi Arabia, said, “this book will benefit our Muslim brothers who have been influenced by Jamaat-e-Islami but not have been fully informed of its ideology”. “Maulana Maududi was a revolutionary figure, but his views, ideology and creed weakened the very foundations of the religion.”
Khan added.Khan said that some of the Jamaat-e-Islami adherents have stealthily infiltrated into the existing religious, social, and religious institutions to increase their influence, hence this book will be a litmus test to clear “the truth from falsehood”.Khan also highlighted how the radical ideology of Muslim Brotherhood and Jamaat-e-Islami led to the miscalculated revolts in Muslim countries, which eventually led to wars and massacres.Basically, the book revolves around the religious deviance of Maududi, rather than his political deviance. However, it’s said that his twisted religious deviance caused the political deviance.
The book cites Maududi’s refutations from famous Islamic scholars of the past namely Sanaullah Amritsari, Abul Kalam Azad, Hafiz Mohammed Gondhalvi, Mohammed Daud Raz and others. It also highlights JI’s symbiotic relationship with extremist ideologies especially Iranian Khomeinism.Secretary of the Markaz Abu Mohammed Maqsud Alauddin Sain said, “I pray to Allah that He guide the youth to read this book and get familiarized with the pure Islam and know the reality of political Islam, and not to be trapped in their deceptive talk”.
Misconceptions and Refutations (Sabighat) By Ahmad Yusuf Alsayyid

Author: Ahmad Yusuf Aisayyid
Book Binding: Paperback
Pages: 166
Size: 11.5 x 8.3 x 0.5 inch

About This Book:
The book "Misconceptions and Refutations (Sabighat)" by Ahmad Yusuf Alsayyid discusses frequent misunderstandings and misconceptions regarding Islam. Expert Islamic scholar Ahmad Yusuf Alsayyid carefully explores different misconceptions that have developed regarding the Islamic faith in this work and provides well-supported refutations based on reliable Islamic sources. The book discusses a range of subjects such as Islamic ethics history which are misunderstood occasionally. By carefully studying and presenting the correct Islamic perspective, which is based on the Quran, Hadith (proverbs of the Prophet Muhammad), and the teachings of respectable scholars, Alsayyid dispels these fallacies.Alsayyid hopes to foster a greater understanding of Islam's genuine nature and to eliminate misconceptions and prejudices about the religion through his academic approach. Both Muslims trying to deepen their understanding and non-Muslims seeking a more accurate and nuanced grasp of Islam can benefit from his work.
What does Sabighat mean?
In the Arabic original, the author gives his book the title Sabighat, borrowing the Quranic description of the coats of mail Prophet David used to make for his soldiers. In its linguistic sense, the word means ‘of good length, full covering, etc.’ The implied sense is that those coats gave proper protection. Hence, the reference in this forwards to the coats of mail as giving protection against misconception.
How to Deal with Contemporary Intellectual Misconceptions:
To deal properly with the onslaught of misconceptions we need to address three areas: the provision of protection for those who have not, as yet, been influenced by them; the administration of a cure for those who have fallen victim to them; and a proper debate with those who raise such misconceptions.
Famous But Unauthentic Stories From The Seerah Of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) By Mohammed Thajammul Hussain Manna Author: Mohammed Thajammul Hussain Manna
Book Binding: Paperback
Pages: 105
Size: 11.5 x 8.3 x 0.3 inch
Publication Year: 2019
About This Book:
All Praises and Thanks be to Allah and peace and salutations be upon the last and final Messenger Muhammad ﷺ.This small but beneficial work began as an assignment, attempted at training the third year students of The Taleem-ush-Shariah Department1 (Women), in translating and summarizing Arabic books.Initially, the third year students, of the batch 2018-19, were given a fifty four point short summary of the book in Arabic2 , which they Alhamdulillah successfully completed in translating into the English language.I later referred to the original book and found it very beneficial for students of The Prophetic Seerah.
Thus I decided to summarize and translate all the unauthentic stories mentioned in the book and compile them so as to benefit a larger audience. The narrations mentioned in the Arabic text of the original book as authored by Shaikh Dr.Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Ushan were studied and summarized, and the accuracy of the summaries were cross checked in other English renderings of the famous books of Seerah3 and were finalised. Whilst mentioning who declared a narration weak or checked the authenticity, we tried not to bring the entire discussion presented in the original book. We only named the scholar(s), who criticised the narration and referenced the summarized ruling to their respective books of research.
Sometimes I named the weak narrators when the discussion in the book was brief and at times I mentioned the alternative authentic story and their references as pointed out by Shaikh Dr.Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Ushan4 .5 At times I referenced some authentic narrations from myself when I thought it to be beneficial.I and the author as he mentioned in his introduction, do not claim that only these are the most unauthentic stories being spread. The reality of the matter is that there are numerous other unreliable narrations as the scholars have mentioned6.
In the ‘Appendix’, we have added a handful of other stories which are false or very weak but are frequently heard in Islamic speeches and lectures, as we found it fit to use this booklet to alert and warn the readers of the weak and false narrations spread in the Ummah. We hope that this endeavour by us will be fruitful in enlightening the masses on being careful in studying the Prophet’s biography ﷺ.May Allah accept this from us.-Abu Muaaz Mohammed MannaIslamic Studies teacher at The Islamic Education Center for Women (IEC)®, Mangalore, India.

In the tahqīq of Sabrī ibn Salāmah Shāhīn, he narrates some quotes from the latecomers in the introduction from himself which indicate that there was a difference of opinion among the Salaf regarding declaring takfīr upon the Jahmiyyah who said that the Qurān is created.
This is not true at all. The Salaf agreed upon declaring takfīr upon those claiming that the Qurān is created due to numerous sayings and deeds of kufr this opinion entails. I therefore strongly warn against reading and believing in this, rather the first guidance is the best guidance. Furthermore, everything which is in [square brackets] is not in the Arabic text. I ask Allāh to benefit the author, the translator, the reader and the one who aids in spreading the Tawhīd and Sunnah in a time when many have left it. Finally we ask Allāh to make our deeds sincerely for Him alone. Allāhumma āmīn.

The Pagan Roots Of Christmas - How Muslims Treat Christmas? And What Is The Muslim Belief Regarding Jesus Christ By Abu Khadeejah Abdul-Wahid
ISBN: 9781902727608
Author: Abu Khadeejah Abdul Wahid Alam
Book Binding: Paperback
Pages 46
Size: 5.8 x 4.1 x 0.2 inch
Publication year: 2019
About This Book:
The book begins by looking into the mysterious origins of Christmas. These ancient celebrations were generally centered on the birth of a deity or goddess and were accompanied by gift-giving and feasts. Moving on, the author discusses Muslims' faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus is seen as a prophet chosen by God to guide humanity in Islam. The faith recognizes his miraculous birth from a virgin as well as his great deeds. Muslims say that the Jesus is not the Son of God and they said Jesus is never punished through the crucifixion method.
The author offers a sensible way to Muslims' treatment of Christmas. Because of its pagan origins, he cautions against celebrating the occasion. Nonetheless, he underlines the significance of treating people who do celebrate it with respect and tolerance. Muslims might show their appreciation by exchanging presents with Christian acquaintances or attending Christmas festivities. The book concludes with a striking reminder of the importance of following Islamic beliefs. They things that Muslims need to focus on following the teaching of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH rather than focusing on the issues of Non-Muslims cultural activities
The word ‘Christmas’ means ‘mass of Christ’ which later became shortened to ‘Christ-mass’. It was the Roman Catholic Church who spread the term among other Christian denominations and non-Christians. So where did the Catholic Church get the celebration from? It is not in the New Testament, and certainly not in the Old Testament. The 1911 edition of Catholic Encyclopedia itself states, “Christmas was not among the earliest festivals of the church. The first evidence of the feast comes from Egypt… Pagan customs centring around the month of January gravitated to Christmas.” This book provides a short but valuable discussion that looks at non-Muslim festivals and the Muslim belief in Jesus in the light of the Islamic texts.

Author: Abu Khadeejah Abdul-Wahid Alam
Book Binding: Paperback
Pages 27
Size: 5.8 x 4.1 x 0.1 inch

About This Book:
The position of Ahl As-Sunnah as it was understood by the earliest generations of Muslims, free from latter day additions and distortions. One of the most talked about, hotly debated and controversial subjects of discussion amongst Muslims for a long time has been whether or not it is permitted to celebrate the birthday of the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him). In this short booklet, we hope to shed light on this practice that has been celebrated by a body of Muslims for centuries. To enable oneself to eventually come to a conclusion in this subject, we must be certain of the fact that the earlier one goes back in history.
The purer the religion gets, until we reach the era of the Companions of Allah’s Messenger (Peace and blessings be upon him), to whom the Messenger (Peace and blessings be upon him) said, “I have left you on a clear proof, its night is like its day, no one deviates from it except that he is destroyed, and whomsoever amongst you lives for long will see great differing. So cling to what you know from my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the Rightly Guided Caliphs after me. Bite on to that with your molar teeth and beware of newly invented matters.”
So when Muslims differ, they must return to clinging to the Sunnah of the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) and the Sunnah of his noble Rightly Guided Companions (Peace and blessings be upon him). So this brief booklet has been compiled in light of this principle.
