This book explains the articulation points of the Arabic letters, the rules of noon saakinah, meem saakinah, and lam saakinah. It explains all of the different lengthenings (mudood), and how voweled, and non-voweled letters are formed. The qalaqah mechanism is explained in the last chapter. Terms are introduced in Arabic, and the translated into English. Explanations are done in English, but with integration of Arabic terms, as they are learned. A student of the Qur'an cannot except to learn tajweed simply by studying this book. The learning of proper Qur'anic recitation can only be done by listening to a qualified Qur'an teacher recite, then reciting to them and receiving corrections from the teacher.
Book 2: By Allah's grace, this is the second part of what shall be, insha' Allah, a three part series on the rules of tajweed of the Qur'an, for the recitation of Hafs from 'Aasim by the way of Ash-Shaaibiyyah. The book is intended to be a guide for non-Arabs with a good grasp in English in studying tajweed. This book explains the concept of the accent(an-nabr) in the recitation of the Glorious Qur'an and the conditions of its use.

About The Authors
Shaykh ʿAbd al-Ghanī ibn Ismāʿīl al-Nābulsī (1641 - 1731), was an eminent scholar and poet of Ottoman Damascus. The Shaykh's family included many scholars and judges of the lands of Shaam and Egypt during both the Mamluk rulers and Ottoman eras, and included many eminent Shaykhs whose works are know down to the present day. He authored over 200 works on a wide range of subjects, and died in Damascus at 90 years of age.Habib "Sa'd" al-'Aydarus, born in 1932 in Tarim, hailed from a distinguished lineage tracing back to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Raised in a scholarly and pious environment, he studied under numerous eminent scholars, including Habib Abdullah bin Umar al-Shatiri. His life was marked by dedication to Islamic knowledge and spiritual guidance, even enduring three and a half years of severe torture in prison under a socialist regime. After his release in 1975, he revitalized religious practices and educational institutions, notably reopening the Abu Murayyam school for Qur'an memorization. He authored over one hundred concise and beneficial books on various Islamic topics. Known for his open hospitality and compassionate heart, he supported students of knowledge and emphasized respect for sacred texts. In his later years, he continued his devotions despite declining health, and he passed away on October 6, 2011, leaving behind a legacy of scholarship and spiritual leadership. His funeral was attended by thousands, and he was buried in the Zanbal graveyard in Tarim.

About Dr. Furhan Zubairi
Shaykh Furhan Zubairi began pursuing Islamic knowledge at the Institute of Knowledge (IOK) in 1998, memorizing the Qur'an and studying foundational Islamic sciences. He completed his B.S. in Biological Sciences at UC Irvine, continued Arabic studies in Egypt, and earned an 'Alamiyyah degree (Masters in Arabic and Islamic Studies) in Pakistan. He also holds multiple ijazat in hadith, certification in Islamic finance, and completed his PhD at the Islamic University of Malaysia in 2024. Shaykh Furhan now serves as Dean of IOK Seminary, a Seminary Instructor, and a University Chaplain at UC Irvine. He has authored numerous works on tafsir, hadith, and foundational Islamic disciplines.
