This is the 3rd book for the 3rd grade of the 2nd generation of Iqr'a integrated curriculum to teach Arabic as a second language. As we mentioned in the previous two books, the second generation will consist of 12 levels from 1st grade to the 12th. As these books are designed to cover full time schools' needs, not the weekend ones, they are the widest and most inclusive, providing students with enough material for 30 weeks, with approximately 4 to 5 classes held weekly.
Teachers will notice that this book either previously or later depends on specific studying approaches. Each book is divided into units and is divided into short lessons, focusing on a specific lingual skill that we seek students to study in a balanced way, to come up with an integrated studying program that deals with language as a creature related to student and makes learning an exciting experience.

Over the years the book has received much praise by scholars and general readers.In recent years, a shorter version of the book was published, deleting the portions that are not directly related to the book's theme. Following the method of many Islamic scholars, Ibn al-Qayyim often includes a detailed discussion of a side point that occurs during his general treatment of his subject. Removing such side discussions makes the book more focused and easier for the general reader. This version is called Taqrib Madarij al-Salikin. The word Taqrib means 'to bring something closer, to make it easier to learn or to understand.The present work is a translation of an abridgement of this shorter version. However, it gives a complete discussion of the theme of the original book and takes the reader along the journey in a pleasant and progressive way, using the author's flowing style. The book takes the form of a journey which should be undertaken by believers who want to ensure for themselves the best outcome in their future lives. Its destination is to be with Allah. In other words, it is a lifelong journey towards Allah. The book divides the journey into stages, but these are not consecutive stages. Some extend throughout the journey itself, such as the stages of repentance, patience and truthfulness. Others are completed and the traveller progresses onto another stage. Ultimately, the traveller arrives at a stage of life accompanied by the stage of Allah's oneness, which is the last aspect addressed by the book. He was a member of the first team that translated the Ramadan night prayers (Tarawiḥ) live from the Sacred Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah (2002-2005). Dr. Khattab memorized the entire Quran at a young age and later obtained a professional ijazah in the Ḥafs style of recitation with a chain of narrators going all the way to Prophet Muḥammad. He received his Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. in Islamic Studies in English with Honours from Al-Azhar University's Faculty of Languages & Translation. He lectured on Islam at Clemson University (OLLI Program, 2009-2010), held the position of Lecturer at Al-Azhar University for over a decade starting in 2003, and served as the Muslim Chaplain at Brock University and the University of Toronto (Mississauga). He is a member of the Canadian Council of Imams and a Fulbright Interfaith Scholar. Dr. Khattab is the translator of The Clear Quran (2015), the author of The Clear Quran Tafsir for Kids, 4 volumes (2019-2023), The Clear Quran Dictionary (2020), and The Clear Sirah for Kids: 365 Days with the Prophet (2024).
